We are passionate and very gifted. Many vampires are in the entertainment world and/or are artists, writers, etc. We tend to be multi-faceted and multi-talented and skilled. We are usually also very intelligent. The most brilliant work comes from real vampires, whether it be music or any other art form. If you think mundane humans are good in the arts, vampires far exceed them, at least in my opinion.

 

As for so-called “psychic” gifts” they vary amongst vampires. Even humans with the third eye chakra open, clear and functioning are able to see things that most people are not able to see. Vampires need to have the third eye functioning. Mine was open in childhood. Here are lists of what vampires are able to do, some more easily than others. There are humans with some of these as well. Please keep in mind that everyone is gifted uniquely.

 

Psychic Variety:

 

·          clairvoyance (clear sight with third eye charka, sometimes of other-worldly entities, other times energy flows and fields (auras) usually not combined with schizophrenia)

·          clairaudience (clear hearing of spiritual entities)

·          clairsentience (clear knowledge of things not taught by usual methods (i.e. “I just know!”); also manifest in the vampire by recognizing energy signatures of vampires, slayers, witches, weres, etc.

·          telekinesis ability to manipulate objects with very little or no  physical contact with said object, usually moving objects or breaking breakable objects

·          precognition (ability to sense certain events before they occur)

·          word of knowledge: akin to precognition, however pertinent to the present, sometimes knowing things about a person not revealed by that person nor anyone else to the vampire; can be utilized in helping to heal a person or give advice of a spiritual nature

·          word of wisdom: ability to give insight more profound than what would be expected of a young person and/or ability to philosophize at a young age

·          being an empath (ability to sense other peoples’ feelings, often combined with feeling a certain degree of the feeling itself)

·          remote viewing: ability to see things, events and people clearly from anywhere in the world

·          psychometry: ability to feel things about events and/or person by holding object associated with the individual and usually an object worn by or owned by said individual

·          telepathy (ability to sense the thoughts of others, making the mind very noisy at times, not usually combined with schizophrenia)

·          Presence: ability to project one’s energy around oneself to affect people in the way they perceive the vampire

·          energy manipulation: withdrawal (for psi-feeding and/or healing) or projection (for healing or harm); sometimes projection in the form of shadow-casting/control

·          magickal: more naturally adept in use of Magic(k)s and with little or no physical props or tools for performing spells. This has been called “Vampire Magic”.

·          manipulation of metals

·          communication with animals

·          soul reading via photographs and/or in person

·          thought sharing (transference of visions to another)

·          having visions

·          astral projection: ability to remove one’s spiritual/ethereal body along with consciousness to other planes/ dimensions or elsewhere on the Earth plane, while asleep or while awake; while attached to the physical body by the “silver cord”

·          bi-location: ability to move consciousness to another location while also conscious of the physical body (while awake only)

·          tri-location: ability to move consciousness to another location, see oneself at the other location objectively or project image of oneself at that location and see image objectively while also conscious of the physical body (while awake only)

·          blinking in the astral  (as opposed to physical blinking, to get around more efficiently and effectively through realms)

 

Physical Variety (most are less common):

 

·          Reflexes (quicker than a human and transcendent of physical limitations)

·          Levitation (ability to lift physical body of self or others or objects from off of a physical surface, transcendently, without the aid of physical devices, and usually for  a short spans of time)

·          Blinking (ability to physically travel from one point in space to another more distant at a very fast rate, seemingly instantaneously (i.e. I was once standing in a certain part of a building and found myself in another part of the building without “blacking out” and without deliberation)

·          five senses: all five senses stronger than a mundane’s with added degree of night vision capability

 

 

Liabilities in the Way of Symptoms of the Vampiric Condition:

 

1.      photosensitivity: eyes very sensitive to light (both sunlight and artificial, and especially the sun and fluorescent) due to increase of vision capability; usually need sunglasses even on an overcast day; strobe lights extremely disorienting; flashing lights and car “high beams” have a temporary blinding effect. May need to wear sunglasses at night due to automobile headlights. May need to adjust contrast and brightness controls on computer monitors.

2.      hyper-audio sensitivity: ears can hear sounds higher in frequency than the mundane hears; usually causes irritation due to hearing the buzzing and humming of electrical devices including tones from light fixtures; sudden loud noises (i.e. clanging cooking pots) can be very alarming

3.      sun and light sensitivity in general: (regardless of racial background) may burn even to the point of blistering (in the case of sun allergy), or easily burn and may also be prone to heat and/or sunstroke to a higher degree and faster than a mundane. Those of us that are extremely pale, such as myself, are so pale do to a few factors: human genetics (fair olive complexion of my mother, fair dark blond father), those like myself who are anemic or prone to anemia or borderline anemics, and having to stay out of the sun for long periods. When it comes to the sun, each vampire has different tolerance. The brightness alone is really blinding at times. My eyes are very photosensitive, sometimes more so than at other times. My eyes are more photosensitive than at least two vampires that I have known. When it is extremely bad for me, I wear sunglasses at night due to the glare of car headlights. My night vision is exceptional- yet not perfect- when I am strong and well-fed. I have been asked how the hell I can see with really dark sunglasses on at night. Sometimes my apartment is lit only with candles or other dim light. Computer screens are very hard on me, so at times I need to take a break for a day. If I must go outside during daytime for appointments with mundanes, there are times I go about, even with very dark sunglasses on, mostly blind. I have to leave my eyes open just as thin slits to see through.

5.      “The Thirst”: the tortuously intense need to feed; condition commonly referred to as “The Beast”, the Thirst rises for blood and/or pure pranic energy, making the vampire very predatory/instinctual/lustful/carnal/animalistic until The Thirst is sated or something ingested to help calm it. Again, I want to make it clear that most vampires have willing donors and do not go out and kill in order to feed, but there are crazy vampires just as there are crazy mundanes. Beware! Anger and sexual stimulation increase the likelihood of the Beast rising regardless of whether or not the vampire has recently fed. Passion biting is very common during sexual play, usually not to the point of drawing blood, but may cause bruising. Again, this must be consensual between partners. During the Thirst, the vampire’s eyes may change in colour or colour intensity. The spiritually sensitive will see a difference in the vampire’s countenance also. The vampire, in this state, may seem “possessed”, but is not.

6.      fangs: relatively few vampires have physically sharper and/or longer canines than mundanes do, but all have fangs in the spirit/ethereal body; some vampires will use prosthetic caps or have permanent dental work done with various motivations for doing so, while many do not do this. Prosthetic or permanent canine extensions are usually not used for feeding due to scarring and higher risk of infection of the wound.

7.      nocturnal: Most vampires are naturally nocturnal and have a very difficult time adjusting to the schedules lived by most mundanes. Many females find their monthly periods show up at different times compared to mundanes and some may successfully control approximate time it starts (i.e. “Not during my sleep dammit!”). The nocturnal nature, while senses are sharper and abilities stronger during night hours, can also be very frustrating when it comes to shopping at certain places or attending daylight appointments of any type aside from difficulty holding a “day job” or attending classes during the day. The very noise and light sensitive may have difficulty sleeping during the day also, which is what is necessary for a nocturnal entity. Many vampires have sleep disturbances of various types, including insomnia, waking easily, not waking easily enough, or sleeping for many hours or days at a time, then remaining awake for many hours or days. Students may end up falling asleep in class (used to happen to me in my teen years).

8.      physical illness and longevity: The intensity of the non-human soul in the human body may cause the vampire to have stronger abilities than mundanes but can also “burn out” the physical body in some ways. Fibromyalgia may occur and I have heard somewhere that heart problems may also. Also, since emotions are far more intense than a mundane’s, the risk of psychosomatic illness is higher than for mundanes. Generally, many vampires heal more quickly than mundanes, while others heal faster in certain ways and not in others. The physical lifespan is like any mundane’s, although some may live to what mundanes consider to be a typical sort of “ripe old age”. Most vampires appear to be much younger than they are, however. Vampires can be killed by the same methods any mundane can.

Hunters and Slayers

      A hunter is not necessarily psychically gifted and therefore unable to sense a vampire’s energy signature. Many, if not most, assume that all vampires see humans as mere cattle and that we are thusly dangerous to humans. Slayers are gifted in their ability to sense our energy signature just as we can sense theirs and know they are slayers. There are also vampires who hunt vampires due to their own strict guidelines in living by the Black Veil (a list of beliefs and behaviours preferred by certain societies in the vampire culture. One of these is to not reveal what you are to just anyone. ... only those you trust with your life), seeing those of us who are out in the open as a threat to the continuance of the vampire race.
